If you'd like to finally find ease with food, discover comfort with your body (without needing to change it!) and improve your overall health and well-being, I'd love to support you.
Let's work together
When working through your food and body concerns, we are a team. Let's work together on finding a more positive relationship with food and your body, to support your overall health and wellbeing.
Using the non-diet approach, I help adult women (18+ and out of school) manage nutrition related concerns including:
Yo-yo dieting
Binge eating
Emotional eating
Weight concern
Poor body image
Disordered eating and eating disorders
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
If you have another nutrition related health issue and would like to know if it is something I can help you with, please feel free to get in touch.
Your initial assessment is a great opportunity for us to get a really good understanding of where you are at now. We will discuss your medical history, lifestyle, current eating style, as well as any concerns you are having with your relationship with food and your body. This assessment will vary depending on your individual circumstances and will help to inform where we start in working through your food and body image concerns in upcoming sessions. I also fully recognise that you are indeed a whole person - not just a list of the foods you eat. So, we might be delving a little deeper than you are used to, but I will always be guided by what you are comfortable discussing. For more information about the non-diet approach I'll use when guiding you through food and body image concerns, click here. You might also find this blog post helpful if you are still curious about what to expect when we work together.
What we cover at each review appointment will be informed by what's going to help you most in that moment - there is no one size fits all, and this is no cookie cutter approach. Some sessions may consist of me guiding you through specific techniques to help in improving how you feel about food and your body, such as mindful eating or hunger and fullness awareness. However, other sessions might look like us taking a pause to gain an understanding and work through a particular food or body image related concern that's bothering you at the time.
Most of us have had a whole lifetime of negative messaging around food and bodies, so it's likely that it will take a number of sessions for us to work through your concerns to ultimately find ease with food and your body. I'd hate for you to feel rushed when we work together, so the appointments I offer are longer than standard so that we can discuss your food and body image concerns (and wins!) in as much detail as you require.
