What to expect
I understand that it can be a little intimidating seeing a dietitian for the first time, particularly if the non-diet approach is new to you. You can learn more about what to expect in your initial assessment and review appointments here, and you might also like to check out this blog post for some further information as well.
Your first appointment will be $140 for 60-75 minutes and follow up sessions are $110 for 45-60 minutes.
You do not need a referral for us to work together. However, if you would like to claim Medicare rebates, you will need a Chronic Disease Management Plan or Eating Disorder Plan from your GP. If you are seeking support for an eating disorder it is also recommended that you see your GP to assess your medical stability prior to booking your first appointment.
If you have a chronic disease, you can claim Medicare rebates of $54.60 per consultation (up to 5 visits) if you are referred by your GP via a Chronic Disease Management Plan. If you have an eating disorder, you can claim Medicare rebates of $54.60 per consultation (up to 20 visits) if you are referred by your GP or psychiatrist via an Eating Disorder Plan. Please speak with your GP to determine if you are eligible for either plan. Click here if you would like to learn more about the new Eating Disorder Plan. Your Medicare rebate will be processed following your appointment. Please note that I do not bulk bill appointments.
Please check with your private health insurer to determine your level of cover and eligibility for rebates. You will be provided with a copy of your appointment invoice to provide to your private health insurer to process if eligible. It is not possible to claim a Medicare and private health insurance rebate on the same consultation.
Payment will be taken at the end of each appointment via credit or debit card. Full payment is required at the time of your appointment. Medicare rebates will be processed following your appointment, and an invoice will be provided for you to claim your private health insurance rebate if eligible.
Please make contact at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule. If you cancel following this time or you don't attend, you will be charged the full amount of your missed appointment. This fee is required before further appointments can be made and is not covered by Medicare or your private health insurance fund.
